FAQs

Why do latex gloves and stockings tear so easily at the edges?

Finger-pulling and lack of lubrication. These items have thin edges ($0.25mm$ - $0.4mm$) that are under high tension. Always use silicone dressing aid to slide them on. Never pull from the very top edge with your fingertips; instead, use your palms or the pads of your fingers to gently massage the material up the limb to distribute tension evenly.

How do I store small accessories like collars, hoods, or belts to avoid damage?

Store individually in opaque bags and isolate metal. Never throw all accessories into one container. Small items like hoods can easily pick up "color migration" from darker items. Store each piece in its own individual zip-lock bag. Ensure all metal buckles, eyelets, or studs are wrapped in acid-free tissue paper to prevent permanent black chemical stains.

What is the best way to clean and dry a latex hood/mask?

Thorough interior rinsing and inverted drying. Sweat and breath moisture collect inside a hood, which can lead to bacteria growth. Wash with mild latex soap and rinse the inside multiple times. When drying, ensure the hood is propped open or turned inside out to guarantee 100% dryness before storage. Avoid hanging it by the eye-holes as this can distort the shape.

Can I use regular shoe polish on latex boots or belts?

Absolutely not. Regular shoe polish often contains oils and solvents that will permanently dissolve and destroy latex. Only use 100% silicone-based shiners or specialized latex polishes. For latex-covered shoes or boots, ensure the polish does not touch any non-latex parts like rubber soles or leather linings unless specified as safe.
