Yes, especially for tighter muscle-fit styles. Unlike fabric, latex has high friction against skin and body hair. You must use silicone-based dressing aid (lube) or talcum powder. This allows the garment to slide over your shoulders and chest without overstretching the seams or painfully pulling on body hair.
Prioritize chest and torso length (girth). For men, the most critical measurements are the chest width and the vertical torso length. If a catsuit is too short in the torso, it will pull painfully at the crotch and shoulders, leading to premature seam failure. Always provide accurate measurements for a "second-skin" fit.
Lubricate zippers and isolate all metal. Men's styles often feature rugged zippers or metal snaps. Regularly apply silicone oil to the zipper teeth. During storage, wrap all metal parts (zippers, buckles, snaps) in acid-free tissue paper to prevent them from causing permanent black stains on the latex.
Hang on wide, heavy-duty padded hangers. Because men's latex garments (like trench coats or biker jackets) can be quite heavy, they should be hung on wide, sturdy, padded hangers to support the shoulder structure. Store them in opaque garment bags in a cool, dark place to avoid UV damage and material stretching.
